The new internet platform intends to promote the mutual approach and meeting between Germany and Israel/the Jews. The internet platform offers manifold chances for communication and information for both nations and cultures. The platform provides a quick overview of all existing German and Israeli institutions and their projects and initiatives that are dealing with both the past and the future of German-Israeli/Jewish relationships. Through the portals the platform also allows world-wide networks, exchange, support, establishing of relationships, current news, information and communication as well as many more options.
The internet platform offers a modern chance to cut the distance between our cultures. At the same time this platform continually grows along with its possibilities and offers (shortcuts to search engines, internet telephony and video streaming).

With its appearance and focal topics the platform particularly is to arouse interest of our young generation in Israel and promote relationships.

A distinctive feature is a spokesman who continually publicises the highlights of the portals in the media, in schools and also in cities and municipalities in order to inform the society and to motivate it to take advantage of their offers.

Through the developing relationships interest in the poltical situation of the Middle East is promoted.

User-Defined Search Engine (supported by Google)The search for pertinent information is often exhausting as a standard query yields a flood of information that needs to be sifted and sorted.By means of the user-defined search engine from Google which is integrated in the platform, information on German-Israeli and Jewish topics can be found even quicker and especially in a more specific way. This is made possible through:

1. Creation and maintenance of an index (data structure with information on documents)
2. Processing of queries (finding and arranging results)
3. Preparation of results as expediently as possible.

As the initiator I am developing this concept of a new internet platform in co-operation with:

What are the technical requirements?

All you need is a computer with an internet connection. Enlarge your internet & media literacy Internet & media literacy In order to obtain or hold lessons you need a stable internet connection. A DSL connection with 1000 kbps or higher is sufficient. Moreover, you need a headset (earphones with microphone) and a camera. It can also be useful to have a graphic tablet. That´s it...off you go!
